Jessica Alba Says Comparing Actresses is Unfair

One thing is certain. Actresses do not appreciate when people compare them. Jessica Alba was the latest star to make such a statement. During a recent interview, Jessica claimed that being compared with Gwyneth Paltrow was actually "unfair."

So, Jessica opened up during an interview with Allure. The famous actress decided to comment on the numerous times when she is compared with actress Gwyneth Paltrow. It seems that the star is not happy with such a comparison. "What I think is unfair is to lump actresses together," the star said. "People aren't lumping Justin Timberlake and Ashton Kutcher together," the actress went on to explain. So, it looks like Jessica believes this to be "slightly misogynic."

The star also said that usually actors get involved in other businesses. "They do other businesses. I think its expected that when you get success in one area, you're supposed to evolve and try to do something else - especially in business, and especially, if you're a man," she said. So, what the Hollywood star was trying to say is that comparing and putting female actors together was misogynic, as this is not something that also happens to men, whose success is expected.

Jessica also talked about her acting career and it seems that she only accepted the roles in which she believed. Jessica claimed that she always refused the roles that degraded women. The actress said during her interview that she didn't want to play a stereotype role, in which the girl is saved by the guy "and doesn't know how to make decisions, and she gets overwhelmed with all this stuff happening around her."

Jessica Alba is not only an appreciated actress. The star is also an entrepreneur, who actually runs a highly successful company. Jessica is the owner of The Honest Company, which is valued at the impressive sum of $1.7 billion. "It's a real social-injustice and human-health issue," Jessica said about her company. The star's purpose in launching it has never been making money from this business, but it did turn out to be a success.

Jessica revealed that she partially owes the success of her business to no one else than her husband Cash Warren. The actress revealed that it "wouldn't be possible without him."
