After leaving the 'American Idol' panel behind, Simon Cowell has been focusing on creating the American version of the 'X Factor'. According to Cowell, the show follows a different, more modern line than 'Idol', and the viewers are in for a sensational show.

'I kept saying, you've got to see the show. It feels different, it feels more modern, it looks bigger, but most importantly it's just got a different voice to Idol', Simon Cowell said in a statement. As he is preparing for the 'X Factor' premiere, the entertainer told Piers Morgan 'It is the biggest moment in my career.' Cowell says that the USA version of the show has a separate identity from the original UK 'X Factor': 'It has its own personality. When I watched it back at this screening we did, I got a real buzz.'

Cowelll also spoke about replacing Cheryl Cole on the 'X Factor' judging panel. He said the reason was that the singer 'looked bewildered' and, also, she didn't consider moving to America. 'But that's what you have to do when you produce - you have to make decisions in the moment, and I take full responsibility for it', Cowell said in an interview.

'X Factor' premieres tonight on FOX and will provide the viewers with amazing performances. According to Cowell, the judges will have an active role in the live performances. On eof the things he likes the most is that on the new show age is just a number, and the voice of the contestants is what makes them or breaks them. 'We're going to be judged as much as the contestants. And if it goes wrong it's my fault and if it goes right you take part of the credit', Simon told 'Rolling Stone'.
